    38. MATTHEW ARMSTRONG – From records in Court House, he fought at King’s Mountain 
    and is buried in Smith’s graveyard near Belmont.
    
    39. CAPT. JOHN KINCAID – Family Bible record shows he was in the Battle of King’s Mountain 
    and is buried at Olney Cemetery.
    
    40. ADAM BAIRD – An officer, unable to find out his rank.  Mrs. W. E. Weatherly of Gastonia, 
    Granddaughter of Adam Baird, has in her possession the gun with which he fought in the Battle 
    of King’s Mountain.  Baird was with Martin.
    
    41. JAMES BAIRD – Adam Baird’s brother, records in family history.
    
    42. JESSE LANE – Records in family history.
    
    NOTE:   Some Histories spell “Hambright” and others “Hambrite.”   
    However, his tombstone says “Hambright.”
