Consider Bushee

Consider Bushee (Boushee) born 10 May, 1763 in Warren, Bristol Co., Rhode Island was a private in Capt. Cole's company 1st, 7th, and 8th Rhode Island Continental line. He assisted in the surrender of General Cornwallis. He made Cpl. June 16, 1782 and was discharged at Saratoga, NY. He died 8 July 1846 and is buried in the Surles Cemetery in Dunn, Harnett Co. NC.

After the Revolution, he was issued a land grant and continued to buy land around it and eventually owned 2034 acres of Craven and Cumberland Counties.

He married a North Carolina gal Patience Carter, and they had 2 children, Samuel and Elizabeth who married a Surles.

His widow Patience Carter Bushee received a pension and died 3 June 1856.
