Daniel Grant, who resided during the American Revolution in North Carolina assisted in 
establishing American Independance as a Patriot when he was appointed as a Printing 
Commissioner on 09 MAY 1779.  Proof: Vol. #24, page # 255 NC State Records. He 
died 19 OCT 1793 in Wiles County, GA.
