John Keithley

John Keithley, who resided during the American Revolution in Dobbs Co., NC and Wayne 
Co., NC assisted in establishing American Independance, by giving Patriotic Service to 
the "Cause". He supplied and hauled supplies from NC to PA on the Great Wagon Road. 
Proof:  Records of him paying the supply tax and 1780 Dobbs Co., NC tax lists. He 
married Mary Ann Riblin of PA in 1781. He and Mary's first child was born in PA and his 
second one, Elizabeth, ( my direct line) was born in NC. Sometime between JUL 1799 
and FEB 1801 he and his family of eight children moved to the Indiana Territory. He and 
Mary had three more children born in Indiana. The both of them are buried in marked 
graves; the Wolfe Cemetery, in Franklin Township, Harrison County part of the cemetery, 
near Georgetown, IN. Note: This cemetery is located part in Harrison County and part in 
Floyd County.
