He was born June 28, 1759 in Bladen Co. North Caroline.
Died June 28, 1838 and is buried in Miller Cemetery Hall township, Bureau County, IL
He served 12 months in 3 month sections from 1779 to 1780. He a volunteer Militiaman 
and fought in the following battles. Linaly's Mill, Brown Creek and Bear Creek and 
served a spy watching troop movements along the north and south Caroline boarder.
